Bonanno Expanding Restaurant Empire

Frank Bonanno (Mizuna, Luca D'Italia and Osteria Marco) is set to expand his restaurant empire on Dec. 30, when he unearths Bones (301 E. Seventh Ave.), a tiny Asian joint a wet noodle's toss from both Mizuna and Luca. The restaurant, open daily from 5 p.m. (lunch will start in March), will serve everything from suckling pig steamed buns and roasted bone marrow to duck confit eggrolls, ramen noodles with poached lobster, edamame beans and miso and drunken noodles brimming with locally culled vegetables. Nothing on the menu exceeds $16, which means you'll have plenty of cash left over to sample the Asian-inspired Blood and Bones cocktail concocted with kaffir lime leaves, Sriracha sauce, sambal and Skyy vodka. Belly up! Read More
